After being contacted by Kensington Palace, John Lewis & Partners donates baby items

John Lewis & Partners is proud to be one of 19 brands enlisted by The Duchess of Cambridge to donate new items to more than 40 baby banks across the UK. This year has been a financial challenge for many families and visits to baby banks are up. After visiting Baby Basics in West Norfolk, The Duchess was moved to help them source much needed donations. This week she helped unpack supplies in Sheffield and chatted to parents about how baby banks have supported them through those all-important early years. ‘We’ve been able to provide products such as strollers and furniture,’ says Partner & Head of Nursery, Kids & Toys, Katie Jordan. ‘I am a mother to an 18-month-old and appreciate just how much equipment you need. It is hugely rewarding that we are able to help other families in this way.’
