How the hoodie has made a comeback

Every once in a while, a piece of clothing does a total 180, going from collecting dust at the back of your wardrobe to becoming a crucially on-trend piece in one fell swoop.

The hoodie is just such an item. Its easy-wearing prowess made it perfect for lockdown, but don't assume that it should only be paired with your pyjamas or joggers. Instead give the hoodie the luxe makeover it truly deserves by wearing it out and about with a boxy, tailored overcoat; putting it together with your favourite jeans and boots; or picking an oversized version and wearing it with a pair of leggings or relaxed-fit trousers.

When it comes to material, the softer the better, so choose cashmere or wool-blends. As for the silhouette? Don't be afraid to play with proportions and favour oversized versions as much as you do slim-line ones – there's a hoodie for almost every mood.
