Step 1 - Connecting
Use a wireless connection or USB cable to link your device to wherever your old data is stored. Smart Switch will need to be installed on both your old Android device and new Galaxy device.
Step 2 - Select
Ensure the Smart Switch app is opened on your new device. Choose which content, preferences and data you want to keep. Leave behind what you don't.
Step 3 - Transfer
Start the transfer and let Smart Switch do the work for you. Your Galaxy will be ready to go in no time.
* DRM files (music and movies) purchased and downloaded from the App or Play Stores will not be transferred.

To transfer data, confirm your new Galaxy as a trusted device. When the "Trust This Computer?" alert appears on your iPhone, tap "Trust".
*Use a compatible Lightning-to-USB-C or USB-C-to-USB-C cable or an adapter to connect your devices.
Step 2 - Select and import
Ensure the Smart Switch app is opened on your new device. Choose the data you want to bring over from your old device and then tap "Import".
Start the import and let Smart Switch do the work for you. Your Galaxy will be ready to go in no time.
Step 3 - Transfer
Leave something behind? Tap “Get your iCloud data” and then sign into your iCloud account. Choose the content you want to transfer and tap “Import”.

Install the Galaxy Book Smart Switch app on your old PC and on your Galaxy Book. Then open the app on both devices. Next, make sure both devices are connected to the same network.
Step 2 - Send & Receive
From your old PC you want to transfer data from, select Send data. On your Galaxy Book that is receiving the data, select Receive data.
Step 3 - Transfer
Select Allow on the "Allow connection" popup on your old PC, and then select the data you want to transfer. Select Transfer to begin transferring your data.
